Dr. Lisa Pichney, M.D., is a board certified gastroenterologist who has practiced in the greater Baltimore area for about 20 years.  She received her training at the University of Maryland Medical School graduating summa cum laude.  
Fellowship-trained in gastroenterology at the University of Maryland Medical System and the Baltimore VA Medical Center, Dr. Pichney is now a member of Mercy Medical Center’s Posner Institute for Digestive Health and Liver Disease, a center of excellence for gastroenterology and hepatology.  
Dr. Pichney is currently the medical director for the Maryland Endoscopy Center and is the immediate past-president of the Maryland Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.  She holds the academic appointment of associate clinical professor of Medicine in Gastroenterology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.  
Dr. Pichney is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association, and a fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.  Her interests include colon cancer screening and prevention.  She has made numerous community presentations on this topic.
