What’s In A Name? C3 Rebrands Itself, Keeps Up The Fight

Doctor researching colon cancerIn addition to all the work that you do to stay healthy and avoid colon cancer, did you know that there are advocacy groups out there leading the charge for better prevention and a cure as well?

One of the best known is Fight Colorectal Cancer, which until 2011 was known as the Colorectal Cancer Coalition, or C3. The group works in Washington, D.C., helping survivors connect with legislators who control the government’s purse strings for research. The group also trains advocates around the country to educate regional, state and local lawmakers on colorectal cancer, and how to create better public-health policies.

Fight Colorectal Cancer also offers support for patients, family members and caregivers. The group serves as a resource for anyone and everyone dealing with, or interested in, colorectal cancer, its treatments and the state of research today.
