Get Involved
Colon cancer is the third deadliest form of cancer in the United States, yet it doesn’t have to be. In fact, it’s one of the few cancers that is preventable by screening. So get involved in the fight to stop colon cancer. Get screened if you are of age or risk. If you are not quite yet in the screening demographic, then join Stop Colon Cancer Now and use the materials on this page to spread the message or participate in colon cancer awareness events like races, local fundraisers, grassroots advocacy campaigns or awareness days.
Larger-Than-Life Colon Exhibit Tours the Country
It’s not often you get to literally walk through a larger-than-life-sized colon, but that’s exactly what Nashville residents were able to do when the Super ColonTM exhibit made a pit stop in Music City. The traveling health exhibit treated Nashvillians to an interactive look at the inside of a colon and what affect various diseases, including Crohn’s disease and colon cancer, have on the organ.
